Next Meeting of the Community Forum May 20
The May meeting of the Community Forum for Economic
Development is this Tuesday, May 20, from 7 -9 PM, at the office of the
Minority Health Coalition in LaSalle Square (915 N. Bendix — just south and
west of the intersection of Bendix and Lincoln Way West).
This month we will highlight reports from the breakout
sessions held during the Third Annual Community Forum on Economic Development, April 26, 2008. This year’s Forum was the best yet — the
highest attendance, more than twice the number of co-sponsors as in 2006, and
many more members of these sponsoring organizations involved in planning the
seven different breakout sessions. Each
of these sessions resulted in proposals for action — on topics from
transparency in government to transforming our neighborhoods. Join us this Tuesday to discuss these
proposals and continue our mission to improve the quality of life in our
community.
